A gem discovered

Over the past two weeks I have been walking everyday, except for two.

The two exceptions being the evening before the coffee morning when I spent the entire evening battling with a temperamental electric whisk while attempting to make an apple cake and the evening of banana day itself when I was so shattered from standing around for four hours in a banana suit that I could do no more than remain horizontal.

On one of these walks I stumbled upon an absolute gem of a footpath pratically on my doorstep. I noticed a distant jogger going through a gap in a hedge - curiosity got the better of me and I followed. On the other side of the hedge I found a newly mown, flat and wide footpath and as I followed the path I discovered that it carries on around the whole perimeter of the farmers land - approximately 4 miles. The footpath must be fairly new as it is not shown on the footpath map.

Hooray for landowners that maintain their footpaths well.
