In October 2010 I climbed to the summit of Kilimanjaro and also achieved my goal to raise £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. This blog is a full account of how, over the period of a year, I prepared myself physically also how I raised funds for Macmillan. I would encourage anyone who is even vaguely thinking of undertaking such a challenge to just go for it. Amaze yourself! I did.

Fourth day of CV challenge month
Four days into my challenge of doing at least 30 minutes CV exercise every day for a month to try to improve my heart rate and breathing. I have just completed the fourth days jog around a 2.8 mile block. I am gradually increasing the length of my jogs and decreasing the length of my recovery walks. I can already feel the pattern of my breathing improving, however, chicken pie and two glasses of wine was definitely not the best thing to have eaten before I set off tonight.
