A WEIGHTY ISSUE

Today the PT asked me to bring my hiking boots and rucksack with me so that I could have a very 'task relative' session.

He filled the rucksack with 20 kilograms of weights (the amount we will be expected to carry on the climb). Gee whizz! That is one heck of a lot of weight. I then had to climb up and down flights of stairs - two at a time (he suggested three at a time but there was no way my leg span would make it). This was followed by lunges and squats.

By the end of the session I certainly felt like my legs had had a workout.

I wonder if I will be able to walk tomorrow.

    My plan? Well I am now working on the basis that you will be so fit in 7 months (tomorrow) time that you will be able to carry my rucksack as well!
    Yep, that sounds like a plan.
