Last night was the Fashion Show in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support organised by my sister, and Kili team member, Lisa.
It was a fantastic success. 220 (mainly) ladies packed into the Police HQ assembly hall. I was one of ten volunteers who modelled clothes provided by Wardrobe Mistresses (a company who sell High Street clothes at upto 50% discount and donate 12.5% of all sales to the chosen Charity). Lewis Hair Salon in Ipswich had offered to style our hair and did a super job - in my sisters case they did an absolutely fab job - her 'do' looked very similar to Patsy. Makeup was expertly done by Virgin Vie consultants.
We 'models' downed a few glasses of the bubbly stuff to calm our nerves before the off. Each of us strutted our stuff in three or four different outfits varying from casual to evening wear.
As a finale Lisa arranged for the cast of The Full Monty (showing locally soon) to do their 'strip' as a surprise for the audience - it was very well received.
All proceeds from the night will be donated to Macmillan, the total is yet to be finalised but it's looking like it could be in the region of £3,200.00.
I'm very proud of my little sis - it was a great night, enjoyed by all. Well done!
